Core Values

  • Accountability- BHABI believes that it is our responsibility to be good stewards in the efficient and effective use of time, money and resources. We employ continuous evaluation and improvement of our mental health service delivery system.
  • Awareness- BHABI believes that awareness, education, and other preventative strategies will minimize the needs of those with mental health needs. We encourage and participate in community education to promote understanding and acceptance.
  • Collaboration- BHABI believes that supports and services are the shared responsibility of governments, communities, service providers, family members, and the individual. Through open communication we continuously build relationships and partnerships to meet the needs of those we serve.
  • Commitment- BHABI believes in the people we serve, our vision, our mission, our service delivery team and the community-at-large. We are committed to assisting people in improving their mental health, quality of life, and their acceptance and participation in the community.
  • Excellence- BHABI believes services and supports must be provided in an ethical manner, meet outcome measures, and are based on best practices and clinical research. We emphasize continued education, self-care, and development of our service delivery team.
  • Integrity- BHABI believes that the mental health system should act in an ethical, transparent, and trustworthy manner on a daily basis. We are responsible to provide services in congruence with state and federal laws and professional codes of conduct.
  • Mindfulness- BHABI practices intentional, accepting and non-judgmental focus on the present mind-body connections to improve service delivery.
  • Respect- BHABI believes in respecting the culture and values of the people and families we serve. We emphasize and promote diversity in our workforce, ideas, and services provided.
